Language Advocacy Days (LAD) 2026

Language Advocacy Days (LAD) is JNCL-NCLIS’s flagship annual event, bringing together language educators, students, and professionals from every state to speak with one voice in support of language education. Over the course of three days, participants will receive advocacy training, connect with colleagues from across the nation, and meet directly with Members of Congress and their staff to share why language learning matters for America’s future.

For LAD26, we’ll gather in person in Washington, DC:

• Sunday, March 8, 2026: Arrival and informal networking

• Monday, March 9, 2026: Training sessions and congressional meetings

• Tuesday, March 10, 2026: Continued meetings and closing activities

This year’s theme, “From Every State, For Every Student,” emphasizes how today’s investment in language education directly shapes tomorrow’s workforce. Multilingual students are better prepared to strengthen our economy, lead in international negotiations, and build bridges across cultures. By ensuring access to language learning in every state, we prepare every student to contribute to a more prosperous, connected, and secure future for our nation.

How to Register

Administrative Purchase

(Use this option if one individual will be responsible for completing registrations on behalf of multiple attendees.)

Individual Purchase

(Use this option if each attendee will complete their own registration form, or if you are registering only yourself.)

   • Double-check that your home address is correct to ensure Congressional meetings are scheduled properly.

3. After completing the form, you will be directed to PayPal to submit payment.

⚠️ Registration Deadline: All registration forms must be completed and paid no later than January 31, 2026.

All tickets for JNCL events are non-refundable. Please review the following conditions, which apply to specific events:

• Language Advocacy Days 2026 (LAD26):
  Tickets for Language Advocacy Days 2026 are non-transferable. Each ticket is issued to the individual registrant only and cannot be reassigned.

• Other JNCL Events:
  Unless otherwise noted, tickets are valid only for the event for which they are purchased and may not be applied to future events.
